This early 1900s mallet-style putter was popular with hickory golfers, even after the introduction of iron putter heads. It has a soft touch, with the hickory shaft and suede grip allowing you to feel the weight of the stroke in your fingertips. The maple wood head has a distinct sound when it strikes the ball. It is a very attractive putter, which is suitable as a gift to yourself, or someone special in your golfing life. We recommend you always use a headcover with this putter since other iron head clubs in your bag can cause damage to the soft wooden head. Please see this video showing you how this type of putter is handcrafted by our artisans in our St Andrews workshop <here>.
