Hickory Golf Brassie Driver by George Nicoll
The George Nicoll Hickory Golf Brassie is based on the socket head 1920 Bulger design. Its head was revered for its ease of play and is a favourite amongst golf players who enjoy the feeling of an actual persimmon head. The full brass sole plates did not become common until the 1890s, named Brassies.
The brassie is generally used for the initial tee shot, and then the Spoon or Baffy woods are used from the fairways. This beautiful handmade brassie persimmon head club makes a wonderful 'thud' sound when struck on the sweet spot. This club is the equivalent of a 2 Wood today.
