The George Nicoll Antler Golf Putter is made from the horn of a stag reared on the Dalchully estate in the Scottish Highlands. Each year the stags shed their antlers in spring to allow new ones to grow.  The horn which is porous is cleaned and filled to create a solid block. This block is then shaped and inserted into the face of the putter by skilled craftspeople. Every piece is hand-made, no two are ever the same. The mallet headed putter style was the shape popular around the end of the 19th century.

Please choose a right or left-hand model, a 33, 34 or 35-inch shaft, and if you wish to have the hickory shaft engraved with a name, number or special message.

The Antler putter is made with an insert of horn from a stag reared on the Dalchully estate in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. Each year the stags shed their antlers in spring to allow new ones to grow, as the horns grow they develop a cover of soft skin known as velvet, this is highly sought after for herbal medicine in places like China. The horn which is porous is first cleaned and then filled to create a solid block. This block is then cut into slices and shaped into individual pieces by skilled craftspeople. The piece is then inserted into the face of the putter. Every piece is hand-made and original, no two are ever the same, making this the perfect Scottish gift. The mallet headed putter style was the shape popular around the end of the 19th century.
