An original Hugh Philp putter is regarded as the Stradivarius of golf clubs. He was renowned for his meticulous approach to club making. This club has been modelled on the original putter used by Hugh McFie to win the first Amateur Championship at Hoylake in 1885. Ever since Philp died in 1856, he has been universally recognised as the club making's finest artisan. This exact reissue of the original pays proper homage to Philp's legacy.
