Soft Mesh Hickory Golf Balls (1 Sleeve – 3 Balls)

In 1899, the American inventor Coburn Haskell introduced the revolutionary rubber-core golf ball, changing the game forever.

In the 1902 Open Championship, Sandy Herd famously used a rubber-core ball to defeat Harry Vardon, helping usher in a new era in golf ball design.

Today, this style of ball is the most popular choice among hickory golfers worldwide. Soft, forgiving, and easy to play, it provides excellent feel and feedback when used with hickory golf clubs.

The price shown is for one sleeve containing three golf balls.

During the first decade of the twentieth century, golf ball manufacturers around the world competed to develop new rubber-core golf balls. It was during this period that the modern golf ball as we know it began to emerge.

The American inventor Coburn Haskell introduced some of the earliest rubber-core balls featuring both bramble and mesh patterns in the early 1900s. In 1905, the Englishman William Taylor patented the dimple pattern, while in 1912 Albert Penfold of the East India Rubber Company patented the famous Victor Mesh Ball.

Today, the Soft Mesh Pattern Ball remains the most popular choice among hickory golfers worldwide and is widely used by competitors in both the World Hickory Open Championship and the US Hickory Open Championship.

The ball produces a distinctive and satisfying sound at impact and is finished in an attractive Antique White colour.
